Optionline Launches Naxsha: An Iraqi Real Estate Platform
The real estate sector in Iraq is one of the most crucial and fastest growing sectors of the economy. In recent years, there has been an increase in investment in this sector, which has led to new challenges and opportunities. The sector is complex and constantly evolving, so it is essential to have new solutions and tools to manage these changes effectively.
Despite the challenges, real estate in Iraq is still mostly conducted through traditional means. Agencies purchase physical maps from the government that can become outdated quickly and need to be repurchased after a certain period of time. There is no digitalisation of assets, which makes asset management more difficult. However, traditional methods are still the most common way to conduct business in this sector.
Optionline, a new startup based in Erbil, has announced the launch of Naxsha (meaning ‘map’ in Kurdish), a new product that digitises real estate. Naxsha will allow users to search for properties by location, price, and type, and will provide detailed information on each listing. Optionline is confident that Naxsha will revolutionise the way people buy and sell property in Kurdistan, making it easier and more efficient than ever before.
Naxsha is a cloud-based real estate software that offers agencies a customisable platform to build and use data to improve their sales strategy. With Naxsha, agencies no longer require large physical offices to host all the maps they need, nor do they need to bear the monetary and time costs of updating maps. This allows agencies to focus on their core business goals and provides them with the flexibility needed to succeed in today’s competitive market.
Naxsha is a project that is the effort of many years of work to cover the need for a digital solution in the mapping and real estate indusry. We are launching in Erbil and aim to cover all of Iraq in the near future.

The Naxsha app currently only contains maps of Erbil city, but according to founder Hamagha, other cities like Duhok and Sulaymaniyah will be added soon.
The platform is easy-to-use for real estate agencies and users alike. It provides real estate agencies with the option to purchase a digitalised map that has each housing unit as a separate object. With this feature, agencies can add pictures, prices, and other details to the units. In addition, agencies can choose who sees that data by either internally sharing it or publishing it to the platform.
